VIPer50/50A is a primary-side integrated circuit for switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), combining a PWM controller and a high-voltage power MOSFET (620V or 700V, 1.5A) on a single chip. It features current mode control, adjustable switching frequency up to 200 kHz, soft start, shutdown control, automatic burst mode for stand-by operation, undervoltage lock-out with hysteresis, integrated start-up supply, avalanche rugged capability, overtemperature protection, low stand-by current, and adjustable current limitation. Typical applications include offline power supplies with secondary power capability up to 25W in wide range conditions and 50W in single range or with doubler configuration, using about 50% fewer components compared to discrete solutions.
