The document discusses the importance of crimp tooling in termination processes, focusing on four key characteristics: geometry and associated tolerances, materials, surface condition, and surface treatment. It explains how these factors influence crimp form, consistency, and tooling life. High-quality crimp tooling can produce high-quality crimps with less in-process variation over a greater number of terminations.
