This 8-bit latch features 3-state outputs for driving highly-capacitive or low-impedance loads. It implements buffer registers, I/O ports, bidirectional bus drivers, and working registers. The transparent D-type latches follow data inputs when LE is high and latch data when LE is low. A buffered OE input places outputs in normal logic states or high-impedance state. The device operates from -40°C to 85°C and features TTL-compatible inputs, flow-through PCB layout optimization, and EPIC 1-μm CMOS process with 500-mA latch-up immunity.
