The LM2724A is a dual N-channel MOSFET driver that drives both top and bottom MOSFETs simultaneously in a push-pull structure. It takes a logic input and splits it into two complementary signals with 20ns dead time. Built-in cross-conduction protection prevents simultaneous turning on of top and bottom MOSFETs. With 5V bias, each driver provides about 3A peak sourcing and sinking current. Input UVLO ensures driver outputs stay low until supply rail exceeds power-on threshold. The top gate voltage is obtained through external bootstrap structure. When not switching, it draws up to 195µA from 5V rail. Bottom MOSFET synchronization can be disabled by pulling SYNC pin to ground.
