The LMV248 is a dual band GSM power controller for RF power amplifier regulation in TDMA (GSM, EGSM, PCN, PCS, DCS) mobile phones. It supports up to two RF output amplifiers and triple band operation (GSM, DCS, PCS), compatible with bipolar, FET, SiGe HBT, and GaAs HBT RF power amplifiers. The device operates from a single 2.5V to 5V supply and includes an error amplifier, input summing network, band switches, input filters, and output drivers. Key features include shutdown mode for power saving (0.15µA), integrated ramp filter, built-in current sources for Schottky diode biasing, pre-biasing of PA control gate voltage (V_HOME), GPRS compliance, external loop compensation, detector diode temperature compensation, and miniature LLP-16 packaging (4mm x 4mm x 0.8mm). It reduces board space and cost by replacing multiple discrete components.
