The TRF6900A is a single-chip RF transceiver for 868-MHz and 915-MHz ISM bands, operating from 850 MHz to 950 MHz. It features a 24-bit Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS) with 11-bit DAC, on-chip VCO and PLL, and requires minimal external components. The device supports FM/FSK operation for both transmit and receive, with two fully-programmable operation modes for fast switching between preprogrammed settings. It operates from 2.2 V to 3.6 V with low power consumption, typical output power of 4.5 dBm, and includes fast RSSI. The chip is designed for narrow-band and wide-band applications with 230 Hz channel spacing and interfaces easily with TI MSP430 microcontrollers via flexible serial interface.
