The OP215 and OP216 are 890 nm GaAIAs infrared emitting diodes in a hermetically sealed package with enhanced temperature range. They offer high power output compared to GaAs at equivalent drive currents and are spectrally matched to silicon's peak response. The small package size allows high density mounting. The OP216 series includes an additional mounting tab connected to the cathode/case. These devices are mechanically and spectrally matched to other OPTEK devices such as the OP300, OP516, OP600, and OP640 series.
