The series includes NPN silicon phototransistors and photodarlingtons in epoxy packages with wide receiving angles for even reception over large areas. Features include side-looking package design for easy PC board mounting in space-limited applications, with choices of clear, opaque, or blue-tinted packages. Specific models include OP552 with opaque package for visible light immunity, and blue-tinted models (OP555, OP565, OP755, OP775) with 28° acceptance half-angle. The OP750, OP755, OP770, and OP775 have additional circuitry for enhanced operation in stray light. Devices are 100% production tested using infrared light and are spectrally matched to OPTEK's GaAs and GaAIAs infrared emitters (OP140, OP142, OP145, OP240, OP245 series).
