The NeoPixel Digital RGB LED Strip features a black flex PCB for better visibility on dark surfaces, with 60 individually addressable RGB LEDs per meter. Each LED provides 24-bit color control (8-bit PWM per color) and is controlled by a single digital pin. The strip is weatherproof (IP65) and can be cut every 0.65" (1 LED segment). It requires a 5V DC power supply and draws up to 18W per meter (3.5A) when all LEDs are at full white. The strip uses a timing-specific protocol that requires a microcontroller with 100nS timing precision (e.g., Arduino at 8MHz/16MHz, Raspberry Pi). Compatible with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, and Beagle Bone Black, but not with slower or interpreted processors.
