3M™ Polyester Tapes feature strong polyester backing and silicone adhesive, designed for high-temperature applications and adhesion to silicone-treated surfaces. The tape family offers varying backing thicknesses to accommodate needs from thin splicing to thicker, stronger tapes for pulling through flashing or multiple layers. Polyester films provide excellent thermal, abrasion, and chemical resistance while maintaining flexibility. Silicone adhesives offer high heat resistance, reduce failure from softening/oozing, and adhere well to tough surfaces like silicone liners and mold-release fixtures. They remove cleanly from stainless steel, anodized aluminum, and glass after a 5-hour bake cycle at 350°F (177°C).
