These lightweight, compact, and well-balanced locators accurately locate cable/pipe paths, measure depth with a button push, display relative signal current, pin-point conductor/sheath faults, discriminate fault severity, identify cables via toning, and locate energized power/CATV cables. The 2273M-iD model exclusively writes/reads/locks programmed information (ID numbers, facility data, owner info, application type, placement date, GPS coordinates) into 3M™ Electronic Marker System iD Ball Markers 1400 Series. GPS/GIS compatibility enables real-time mapping of marker placement. Features include multi-antenna design with Directional Peak, Multi-Directional Null, and ultra-sensitive Special Peak modes, an 'expander' function for clearer signals, transmitter with built-in ohmmeter/voltmeter/continuity tester, rugged receiver with high-resolution LCD, and earth contact frame for fault locating.
