The AEDM-5xxx series are high reliability, high resolution optical incremental encoders with easy assembly. Each encoder contains a LED source with lens, ASIC with integrated photo detector arrays, LED current regulation, interpolator, output driver circuitry, and a code wheel. Outputs are two quadrature square waves plus a third index channel. Utilizes film code wheel allowing resolutions up to 5000 CPR. Bearing-less housed design for quick motor mounting. TTL compatible output, single 5V supply with ±10% tolerance. Features include no signal adjustment required, cost effective solution, and small size. For larger motors, AEDM-59xx series offer external mounting ears option.
