    Products Detail

    The HCPL-7860/HCPL-786J is an optically isolated Sigma-Delta modulator that, together with the HCPL-0872 digital interface IC or digital filter, forms an isolated programmable two-chip analog-to-digital converter. It enables direct measurement of motor phase currents in power inverters. The modulator converts low-bandwidth analog inputs into a high-speed one-bit data stream using a Sigma-Delta over-sampling modulator, providing high noise margins and excellent immunity against isolation-mode transients. Key features include 12-bit linearity, 200 ns conversion time, 12-bit effective resolution with 5 μs signal delay, fast 3 μs over-range detection, ±200 mV input range with single 5 V supply, 1% internal reference voltage matching, offset calibration, -40°C to +85°C operating temperature range, 15 kV/μs isolation transient immunity, and safety approvals including UL 1577, CSA, and IEC/EN/DIN EN 60747-5-2.
