The HEDS and HEDM series are optical incremental encoders with two or three channels. They feature high reliability, high resolution up to 1024 counts per revolution, quick and easy assembly, no signal adjustment required, external mounting ears available, low cost, small size, TTL compatible, and single 5 V supply. The encoders contain a lensed LED source, an integrated circuit with detectors and output circuitry, and a codewheel. They are ideal for motion detection in high volume applications.
