The HEDS-9000 and HEDS-9100 are high-performance, low-cost optical incremental encoder modules designed for rotary position detection when used with a code wheel. They consist of a lensed LED source and a detector IC in a small C-shaped plastic package, tolerant to mounting misalignment. The modules provide two-channel digital outputs with TTL compatibility, single 5V supply, and various resolution options (e.g., 500 CPR, 1000 CPR for HEDS-9000; 96 to 512 CPR for HEDS-9100). Ideal for high-volume applications like printers, plotters, and factory automation.
