    The FT232RN is a single-chip USB to asynchronous serial data transfer interface that handles the entire USB protocol on the chip without requiring USB-specific firmware. It features integrated 1024-bit EEPROM for device descriptors and CBUS I/O configuration, integrated USB termination resistors, and clock generation without external crystal. It supports data transfer rates from 300 baud to 3 Mbaud, has 128-byte receive and 256-byte transmit buffers, and offers configurable I/O pins. The device is available in 28-pin SSOP and 32-pin QFN packages, operates from +3.3V to +5.25V, and supports extended operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
