It functions as a voltage-controlled current source, current regulator, or cut-off device, suitable for periodical AC voltage sources. Key features include all solid-state components, no electrolytic capacitor requirement, compact size, high power factor (PF) and low total harmonic distortion (THD), high efficiency, flexible PCB layout, wide LED forward voltage selection, distributed heat dissipation, and TRIAC dimmability. The chip supports up to 150mA regulating current with 88V input sustaining voltage and <3V dropout voltage.
