The SP6685 is a current-regulated charge pump designed for powering high brightness LEDs in camera flash applications. It features two regulated current levels for FLASH and TORCH modes, automatically switching between step-up and step-down to ensure LED current independence from forward voltage. A low current sense reference voltage (50mV) allows use of small 0603 current sensing resistors. It operates from a single cell lithium-ion battery or fixed 3.3V/5.0V power rails and is available in a RoHS compliant, halogen-free 10-pin 3mmx3mm DFN package.
