MT8889CPR [MICROSEMI]

The MT8889C is a monolithic DTMF transceiver with call progress filter, fabricated in CMOS technology for low power consumption and high reliability. It features an adaptive micro interface for easy connection to popular microcontrollers with minimal external logic. The device provides central office quality DTMF transmitter/receiver, adjustable guard time, automatic tone burst mode, and call progress tone detection to -30 dBm. The receiver section is based on the industry standard MT8870 DTMF receiver while the transmitter utilizes a switched capacitor D/A converter for low distortion, high accuracy DTMF signalling.
