VSC3312XYP [MICROSEMI]

The VSC3312 is a 12-port 6.5 Gbps asynchronous switch featuring programmable input signal equalization and output pre-emphasis with multiple time constants. It supports multicast, loopback, and reconfigurable I/O capability for flexible signal routing. The device uses a fully asynchronous architecture allowing any data rate or protocol without external reference clock. It includes dual time-constant equalization to reduce jitter when driving multigigabit signals across backplanes and cables. Typical power consumption is 160 mW per active channel with unused channels de-activatable. Output drivers support 1.8 V to 3.3 V supply range. The switch has 24 ports total: 8 dedicated inputs, 8 dedicated outputs, and 8 configurable as either inputs or outputs, enabling configurations from 12x12 to 8x16 or 16x8. LOS detection with programmable thresholds is available on every input port. Programming is via two-wire serial interface.
