The HiperPFS device family is a single chip solution for boost power factor correction (PFC) that incorporates control, gate driver, and high-voltage power MOSFET. It eliminates the need for external current sense resistors, reducing power losses and component count. The innovative variable-frequency continuous conduction mode (VF-CCM) minimizes switching losses and EMI, allowing for smaller EMI filters and higher efficiency across the entire load range. The devices feature comprehensive protection features including UV, OV, OTP, brown-in/out, cycle-by-cycle current limit, and power limiting for overload protection. They are designed for high efficiency and low EMI, with >95% efficiency from 10% load to full load at low line input and >96% at high line input. The advanced eSIP-7G package allows for simple clip mounting to a heat sink and provides thermal resistance equivalent to a TO-220, enabling high power density in a compact form factor.
