HiperPFS-3 devices eliminate the PFC converter's need for external current sense resistors and associated power loss, using an innovative control technique that adjusts switching frequency over output load, input line voltage, and input line cycle. This maximizes efficiency across the entire load range, particularly at light loads, while significantly minimizing EMI filtering requirements through wide bandwidth spread spectrum effect. The devices use advanced digital techniques for line monitoring, feed-forward scaling, and power factor enhancement, with analog techniques for core control to maintain extremely low no-load power consumption.
