PFS7626L [Power Integrations]

The HiperPFS-4 family integrates a CCM boost PFC controller, gate driver, and 600V MOSFET in a single package. It eliminates external current sense resistors and uses innovative control that adjusts switching frequency over output load, input line voltage, and input line cycle. This maximizes efficiency across the entire load range, particularly at light loads, and minimizes EMI filtering requirements due to wide bandwidth spread spectrum effect. The devices feature advanced digital techniques for line monitoring, line feed-forward scaling, and power factor enhancement, while using analog techniques for the core controller to maintain extremely low no-load power consumption. They include integrated non-linear error amplifier for enhanced load transient response, user programmable Power Good signal, and user selectable power limit functionality. The innovative variable frequency, continuous conduction mode operation minimizes switching losses by maintaining low average switching frequency while modulating switching frequency to suppress EMI.
