HIP6301EVAL2 [RENESAS]

The HIP6301EVAL2 is a three-phase synchronous buck converter evaluation board designed for Pentium 4 processor core power. It uses the HIP6301 multiphase buck PWM controller and HIP6601A MOSFET drivers to deliver high-current (up to 54A) with fast transient response. The design features remote voltage sensing, phase-to-phase current sharing, soft-start, over-current protection with hiccup mode, and configurable output voltage via VID jumpers. Implemented on a 4-layer PCB with optimized layout for thermal performance and low parasitics, it supports evaluation using ATX supplies or bench supplies and Intel PGA423 EMT tools.
