RT8497CGS [RICHTEK]

The RT8497 integrates a power MOSFET and a Boundary mode controller for step down converters, controlling the internal MOSFET and regulating constant output current. It features a ZCS detector for BCM operation, achieving excellent power efficiency and better EMI performance. The device achieves high Power Factor Correction and low Total Harmonic Distortion of Current through a smart internal line voltage compensation circuit, minimizing component counts and saving PCB size and system cost. It can use a simple drum core inductor instead of an EE core for high efficiency. Housed in an SOP-8 package, the RT8497 enables compact LED driver system designs.
