OP298A [Optek]

The OP290 Series consists of gallium aluminum arsenide infrared Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) molded in IR-transmissive packages with wavelengths centered at 890 nm (except OP298 AA/AB/AC/AD variants at 850 nm or 875 nm). These LEDs offer choices of narrow or wide irradiance patterns, power ranges, and package types (T-1¾, TO-18, or TO-46). They provide higher power output than GaAs LEDs at equivalent currents and are spectrally matched to silicon phototransistors. The series includes various electrical parameter options (A, B, C, AA, AB, AC, AD) with different forward current specifications and emission angles.
