The OPB715Z series reflective assembly combines a GaALAs LED with a Photologic® sensor in an IR transmissive housing. It detects paper at 0.5” (12.7 mm) but has a wide operating distance range for other reflective objects depending on material reflectance. Designed to replace mechanical limit switches for long life and reliability, it features panel-mount plastic housing that shields stray light and terminates with 18” (457 mm) UL-approved 26 AWG wire leads. The LED is internally current-limited, and outputs are available as TTL Totem-Pole, TTL Open-Collector, or inverted versions of either configuration.
