Passive Components

Passive Components are electronic parts that do not provide power gain or active control of current flow. They interact with electrical signals by storing, transferring, limiting, or dissipating energy, and are fundamental building blocks in electronic circuits.

In general, this category includes devices used to manage resistance, capacitance, inductance, signal coupling, filtering, and energy handling within a circuit.
