It reduces system cost and improves design flexibility, performance, and energy efficiency. Features include extended power range, no heatsink required up to 34 W (P/G packages), elimination of external components, integrated soft-start, externally programmable current limit, wider duty cycle, line UV/OV detection, line feed-forward, frequency jittering for EMI reduction, zero-load regulation, 132 kHz switching frequency, half-frequency option, hysteretic thermal shutdown, and EcoSmart energy efficiency with low remote off-mode consumption.
