The ISL9214A is a complete charger for single-cell Li-ion/Li-polymer batteries with dual input power sources for cradle and USB. It features programmable cradle charge current (0.1A to 1A), fixed 380mA USB charge current, Thermaguard™ thermal protection, and 28V maximum input voltages for both inputs. The device requires no external blocking diode, has very low leakage current (<0.5µA), and provides adapter presence (PPR) and charge status (CHG) indications. It operates over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
