EVB_RT8497GS [RICHTEK]

The RT8497 is a high-efficiency BCM LED driver controller with integrated power MOSFET. It features a zero-current-switching (ZCS) detector for Boundary Conduction Mode (BCM) operation, achieving excellent power efficiency and EMI performance. The device uses a smart internal line voltage compensation circuit to achieve high power factor and low THDi, minimizing component count, PCB size, and system cost. It supports programmable constant LED current with high-precision regulation, extremely low quiescent current (0.5mA typical), and shutdown current (1μA). The compact floating buck topology reduces component count and system BOM cost. It includes unique programmable AND pin for ZVS setting to optimize efficiency, supports off-line universal input voltage range, and integrates comprehensive protections (over thermal, over voltage, open/short/over current for LED string). Housed in SOP-8 package, it enables compact LED driver designs.
