The ADC12040 is a 12-bit, 40 MSPS A/D converter with internal sample-and-hold, operating on a single +5V supply. It features a differential pipeline architecture with digital error correction, consuming 340 mW at 40 MSPS (40 mW in power-down mode). The device offers 2.35V to 5V compatible outputs, an on-chip reference buffer, and pin compatibility with ADC12010, ADC12020, ADC12L063, and ADC12L066. It provides excellent dynamic performance with 69 dB SNR and 11.2-bit ENOB at 10 MHz input. The converter uses differential inputs for optimal performance but supports single-ended operation. Output data is in 12-bit offset binary format. Available in a 32-lead LQFP package for industrial temperature range (-40°C to +85°C).
