These infrared emitting diodes feature hermetically sealed packages for reliability and are mechanically and spectrally matched to other OPTEK devices. The OP123 and OP124 use 935nm GaAs technology while OP223 and OP224 use 890nm GaAlAs technology, offering higher power output than GaAs at equivalent drive currents. All devices are designed for direct mounting to PC boards and provide excellent coupling efficiency with narrow irradiance patterns for high on-axis intensity. The small package size permits high device density mounting.
