The OPL800 series sensors consist of a photodiode, a linear amplifier, and a Schmitt trigger on a single silicon chip (monolithic for OPL820 and OPL821). Some models (OPL810, OPL811, OPL812, OPL813) include a voltage regulator. The devices are mounted in a standard TO-18 header and hermetically sealed in a lensed metal can. They feature TTL/LSTTL compatible logic level output, driving up to 8 or 10 TTL loads without additional circuitry. The Schmitt trigger provides high noise immunity. The OPL800 series offers medium-speed data rates up to 250 kBaud. The sensors are mechanically and spectrally matched to Optek LEDs (OP130, OP230, OP231 series). Output options include Totem-Pole, Open-Collector, Inverted Totem-Pole, and Inverted Open-Collector.
