The CDB4398 evaluation board provides a complete system for evaluating the CS4398 DAC. It includes the CS8414 digital audio receiver for S/PDIF and EIAJ-340 compatible inputs, headers for external PCM/DSD clocks and data, analog outputs via RCA and XLR connectors, power supply circuitry with jumper-configurable voltages, and control port software for SPI/I2C configuration. The board features optimized grounding, decoupling, and selectable analog output filters (2-pole Butterworth for RCA and 3-pole for XLR) to evaluate full DAC performance.
