It uses the FT232RQ IC to handle all USB signaling and protocols, supporting data transfer rates from 300 baud to 3 Mbaud (RS422, RS485, RS232, TTL). The module includes RTS/CTS hardware handshaking, USB power, and two configurable CBUS pins for clock signals or LED control. It comes with 1x4 headers for prototyping, is RoHS compliant, and requires FTDI drivers to function as a virtual COM port (VCP) or via D2XX direct access.
