The CAPZero family is a zero-loss automatic X capacitor discharge IC that blocks current flow in X capacitor safety discharge resistors when AC voltage is applied, reducing power loss to less than 5 mW at 230 VAC. When AC voltage is disconnected, it automatically discharges the X capacitor by connecting series discharge resistors. This allows total flexibility in X capacitor selection to optimize differential mode EMI filtering and reduce inductor costs with no change in power consumption. The device is self-supplied, requires no external bias, meets safety standards with >4 mm creepage on package and PCB, and is designed for EuP Lot 6 compliance and ultra low no-load consumption applications.
