The USB-COM485-Plus1 module uses the FTDI FT232RQ USB-to-Serial bridge chip to convert USB signals to RS485 levels. It includes integrated RS485 level shifters, TXD/RXD LEDs for data traffic indication, a USB-B connector for connection to a host or hub, and a DE-9P connector for RS485 interfaces. The module supports up to 3Mbps data rate, operates from -40°C to +85°C, and is powered by USB with no external power required. It provides a +5VDC output at 250mA on pin 9 of the DE-9P connector and uses Virtual COM Port (VCP) drivers to appear as a standard COM port.
